Three-day training course on practical measures to prevent food waste in tourist areas
Following the recent educational trip to Istanbul, we arranged a new meeting with representatives from the four municipalities of Chalkidiki, Nea Propontida, Polygyros, Sithonia, and the municipality of Kavala, as part of the European project Foodwise.
We met for three days in person and online, shared experiences, saw what works and what needs to change, and discussed how we can effectively communicate with residents, tourists, and local businesses on the issue. All this to become part of the solution to a problem with a major environmental and economic impact. So that everyone can enjoy cleaner and healthier neighborhoods, beaches, and seas.
